Latest Sermon: Leviticus #23

July 1 begins The City Church‘s last month in the book of Leviticus – and it starts with one of the most well-known, but almost-always-ignored, principles in the Bible.

“Sabbath” is not a concept that Americans are known for carrying out well. We rarely rest, and when we do, our rest is rarely in God, who offers the only true rest. After practicing corporate Sabbath several times a year, The City Church finally examines God’s command to Sabbath: we see how God rested, how he intends for us to rest, how he provides the best rest imaginable, and how he shapes and forms us in the midst of our rest.
